Tytila of East Anglia
Tyttla (also: Tytila , Tytilus, Tydil ) was a king of the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of East Anglia from the dynasty of Wuffinger in the 6th century.
Life
Tyttla ascended the throne as his father's successor Wuffa. Details of his reign are not known. The dates of his reign can not be determined with certainty. While it is usually assumed that a batch of about 578 to about 593, also classifications of 578 to 599 on the other hand represented or assumed a much earlier start of government. Tyttla was the father Rædwalds, who succeeded him as king and Eni, the short time King of East Anglia was by Raedwald.
The name Tyttla is regarded as Anglo-Saxon equivalent of the Gothic name Totila.
