Tyukod

Tyukod is a large village in Szabolcs -Szatmár -Bereg county in northeastern Hungary with 1,863 inhabitants ( 2011). It lies between Mátészalka and Csenger, a town on the border with Romania.

In 1514 the nobility of the community concurred with the Doja uprising and was punished after its suppression by the confiscation of his goods. In Tyukod was a 14th-century church, in place of a late Baroque building was built in 1795. Also worth seeing is the classical castle of Baron Kálmán Uray from the 19th century, whose facade is provided in the center with a portico.
