Tzadik

A tzaddik or Tzaddik ( [ tsadɪk ], Hebrew צדיק, Saddiq, German, righteous ' or ' righteous ') is a religious title for a highly respected, revered as sacred or morally excellent man in Hasidism.

In the Tanakh, a tzaddik is a righteous man, in the Talmud and Midrash one who does the question of justice more demand than God's laws. In the Middle Ages the term tzaddik was run as a term of respect for particularly devout Jews, who have a special relationship to God was said. In the original Eastern European Hasidism a tzaddik was regarded as a mediator between God and man. They held meetings with him, he acted as a counselor and was entitled to receive support from his community. In addition, the ability it has been attributed to perform miracles.
