U.S. Catanzaro 1929
The U.S. Catanzaro is an Italian football club from the Calabrian city of Catanzaro.
The club colors are red and yellow. As the stadium club serves the Stadio Nicola Ceravolo, which can accommodate 14,750 spectators. The predecessor Club U.S. Catanzaro in 2006, entered into insolvency. The club was refounded as FC Catanzaro and rose again in Serie C2. Previously played the club, still under the name U.S. Catanzaro from 2004 to 2006 in the series B. In the 2004/05 season took one last place, with numerous Lizenzentzüge the club remained however in the league. After the team also completed the following season in last place, it came to financial problems, which led to the liquidation of the association.
The first club was founded in 1929 instead of under the name catanzarese, 1946 it was renamed the U.S. Catanzaro.
