The U.S. Cellular Arena is a sports arena in Milwaukee in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It provides a maximum of 12,148 seats and the construction time cost 10 million U.S. dollars.

History

The arena was opened in 1950. She was one of the first lecture halls in the United States, which was also equipped for television broadcasts. The U.S. Cellular Arena with the Milwaukee Theatre and Midwest Airlines Center for Complex MECCA (Milwaukee Exposition Convention Center and Arena) in 1974 was merged. So wore the hall from 1974 to 1995 the name MECCA Arena. After that it got its old name Milwaukee Arena, it already was from 1968 to 1974 again. But it was also known as the Wisconsin Center Arena. The multi-purpose hall was home to the NBA teams in the Milwaukee Hawks (1951-1955) and the Milwaukee Bucks ( 1968-1988 ). The Bucks celebrated in the Milwaukee Arena 1971 NBA championship in 1974 and reached the finals. In 1977, the NBA All -Star Game held in Milwaukee. The West wins with 125:124 east.
