U.S. Pro Indoor
The ATP tournament in Philadelphia ( officially U.S. Pro Indoor ) is a former men's tennis tournament, which was played from 1968 to 1998 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It was played in the hall, first on carpet. Only in the years 1992, 1997 and 1998 was played on hard court surfaces. The event was held until 1996, the Spectrum Arena, the last two editions of the tournament were held in Wells Fargo Center, including the home of the Philadelphia 76ers. The tournament was part of the ATP Championship Series and its successor series ATP International Series Gold.
Record winner of the tournament are each equipped with four titles and two other finals Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe. Could triumph also four times Rod Laver and Pete Sampras, who won his first tournament here on the ATP Tour. Also in double McEnroe 's record winner, he won with his doubles partner Peter Fleming three times the doubles competition for themselves.
