U11 (Berlin U-Bahn)

U11 is the working title of a long-planned route of the Berlin U -Bahn.

According to the Berlin Land Use Plan of 2009, the required paths are still kept, according to City Development Plan for Transport ( StEP ) of 2011, but by the year 2025, no concrete implementations. This means that the need for the construction areas are to be blocked until further notice by other buildings. In the downstream phases of development planning, the planning would be binding and to guarantee the actual control systems.

The U11 was the middle East Berlin to the main train station - as the western terminus - connect. The eastern endpoint is designed on Glambecker ring in the district of Marzahn. The total expansion would include approximately 15.8 kilometers of lines with 21 underground stations.

The planned stations are: Central Station (S5, S7, S75, U55 [ from 2019: U5 ] ), Natural History Museum ( U6), North Railway Station (S1, S2, S25 ), Rosenthalerplatz ( U8), Rosa Luxembourg Platz ( U2), minor road, the United Nations Square, Langenbeckstraße, Landsberger Allee ( S41, S42, S8, S85, S9 ), Franz - Jacob - street, Weißenseer way Vulkanstraße, Genslerstraße, Arendsweg, Rhinstraße, Bürknersfelde (possible transition to S75), Marzahn (S7), Marzahn promenade, avenue of the cosmonauts, Walder ring road and Glambecker ring.

Parallel to the configured route run several tram lines (among M5, M6, M8, 16).
