U12 (Berlin U-Bahn)

The line U12 is a former line of the Berlin U -Bahn. It existed from 1993 to June 2003 as a major event and night transport line between the Ruhleben subway stations (today's U2) and Warschauer Straße (today: U1). Between June 24 and December 8, 2011, this line was operated again due to construction work on the U2 line. Previously, the underground line U12 was still called U1. The plot of the musical line 1 is named after it and the action takes place on the lines of the subway line U12.

The lines remained unchanged on the whole. However, the line U12 wrong until October 1995 only until the Silesian Gate station and at major events later times, even up to the Metro Station Olympic Stadium. Then the connection between the stations Warschauer Straße and Silesian Gate was reopened in October 1995. Now led the lines U1, U12 and U15 to Warschauer Straße.

Building line

On 18 August 2006 this line was temporarily re- established as a replacement for U2 on the route between railway triangle and Ruhleben, as a result of bridge construction between track triangle and Buelowstrasse until 18 March 2007, no train traffic was possible. The line ran between U12 Ruhleben and the Warsaw street on the historic route of the former line U1. Were used features of the HK, A3L/67/71/82/92, A3E, GI / 1 and GI/1E series.

The same was done about five years later, in 2011, because renovation work on the U -Bahn line U2 made a division of the line required on the track triangle Station. The interior of the U12 was made but only after protests by various passenger associations. Previously, a twice transfers between lines U1 and U2 was necessary to U2 ended westward on the track triangle and east along the Wittenberg Platz.
