U96
U 96 is a musical project of the German DJ and producer Alex Christensen and producer teams Matiz. The biggest commercial successes had U 96 by 1992 to 1996. Musically the project in Techno and Euro Dance Area is to be settled.

Biography
The name comes from the famous film in the emerging Das Boot German submarine U 96 from the Second World War. For this film, the template for the first hit single of the project, The Boat (1991 ), a dance version of the theme song, which was composed originally by Klaus Doldinger comes. Also, the same gold album was temporarily in the Top 20, the single The boat was already published in 1991 by Polydor. In 1994 the single Inside Your Dreams, which only narrowly missed the German top ten charts with number 11. An album was this, however, not be published. End of the year appeared from U 96 an interactive PC CD -ROM. Besides a PC game, the CD also contained three new tracks. The track Enter at Your Own Risk was exclusive to this CD -ROM, the other two titles were exclusive versions of Love and Religion Club Bizarre.
1995, was the regular publication of Love religion that penetrated to number 5 in the German charts. The follow-up single " Club Bizarre" was rather quiet and trance and reached number 18 in the German charts. The eponymous album reached # 22 Movin ', the final single from the album was arranged by U 96 completely new and re- sung by Carol Bailey, but only reached number 91
In 1996, U 96 with Heaven, leaning on the Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time - classic from 1984, once again a big success ( 4). Only in March 2006, a new U - 96 single. Gone is a ballad in German language. U 96 was supported by the then very popular singer Ben.
