Ubisoft Montreal is a development studio for video games in Montreal, Canada. It was founded in 1997 and is part of the 100% Canadian subsidiary » Ubisoft Divertissement Inc. History

The studio was opened in 1997 with government subsidies. Ubisoft announced the largely French-speaking population and the proximity to the English-speaking United States than with decisive reasons for the site. Martin Tremblay joined in 1999 as executive vice president added the company and a year later was appointed head of the segment operations (English Chief Operating Officer, COO short ) transported.
