UCI Continental Circuits#UCI America Tour
The UCI America Tour is introduced for the 2005 season from the International Cycling Union UCI American road cycling calendar. It belongs with the other continental racing series (UCI Africa Tour, UCI Asia Tour, UCI Europe Tour, UCI Oceania Tour ) to the UCI Continental Circuits below the UCI ProTour ( since 2011: UCI World Tour ).
The annual race calendar of the UCI America Tour includes the race between 1 October of the previous year and 30 September of the following year.
The one-day races and stage races of the UCI America Tour are divided into three categories (HC, 1 and 2). For every race points are awarded for an individual, team and nations. An individual races UCI ProTeam also can participate; the results of the ProTeam riders remain for the annual ranking but out of consideration.
Team
May at the race of the UCI America Tour - depending on the UCI category - UCI ProTeam participate, UCI Professional Continental Teams, UCI Continental teams, as well as national, regional and club teams. The first three American Continental teams a calculated at beginning of the season due to the commit driver fictional rankings are necessarily invite from the organizers of the race in the first and second category.
