UCI Juniors Track World Championships

The UCI Track World Junior Championships (UCI Juniors Track World Championships ) are Cycling World Championships in track cycling for juniors and from 1987 also for juniors, so athletes 17 to 18 years. Organizer is the International Cycling Union Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI ).

In Munich in 1973 and 1974 in Warsaw ( POL) found Junior European Championships respectively in the sprint, points race and in the 3000 -meter individual pursuit instead, which are regarded as precursors of the Junior World Championships, as well as non- Europeans were at the start.

From 1975 to 1996 Junior World Championships were held in the rail and road driving each in a region as a common event. From 1997 to 2004, the Junior Track World Championships were held separately. From 2005 to 2010 there was another common competitions on the track and the road. Since the UCI Track World Championships 2011, the track events were again discharged separately.
