Ucureña

Ucureña is a town in the Cochabamba Department in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

Ucureña is located in the province of Germán Jordán in the municipality of Cliza on the 490 km ² large fertile plateau of the Valle Alto and is the fifth largest city in the Valle Alto. The village lies at an altitude of 2714 m between the three kilometers away Cliza in the west and 10 km away Punata in the east.

Geography

Ucureña is located in the transition zone between the Andes mountain range, the Cordillera Central and the Bolivian lowlands.

From Cochabamba the paved highway Ruta 7 results in a southeasterly direction 33 miles to Tolata, then a dirt road eight kilometers further south to Cliza and then on to Ucureña.
