Udo (archbishop of Trier)

Udo von Nellenburg (c. 1030/35; † November 11, 1078 in Tübingen ) was from 1066 until his death Archbishop of Trier.

Life

After the assassination of foreign Trier Archbishop Kuno I of Pfullingen 1066 the Trier cathedral chapter with Udo von Nellenburg one of its own members elected the new archbishop of Trier.

Udo von Nellenburg came from an Upper Swabian Counts of Counts of Nellenburg and is the eldest son of Count Eberhard VI. of Nellenburg. He received episcopal ordination to 1067.
