Style

Three of the 6 tracks of the original edition were composed by bassist, and Magma Zeuhl is embossed on this album more than before from the bass playing - what esp. for Japanese Zeuhl bands should be typical later. There are also now more keyboards for use, and echoes of Latin American music and space rock are more likely to be perceived as influences from Carl Orff's cantata. In addition, some shorter and less complex pieces find. The atmosphere is less influenced by the apocalyptic Kobaïa myth than on the previous albums.

Reception

Dominique Leone of Allmusic criticized the album both as a somewhat disjointed and does not count it to magma masterpieces, considers it opportune for often undervalued and recommends it fans of the band. Udo Gerhards of the Baby Blue Pages praises Vanders " precise, powerful, whip -like drumming " and refers to the final long track as " Baßriff orgy [ ... ] that is full of energy and hypnotic power." The eclipsed magazine took Üdü Ẁüdü on its list of the 150 most important prog albums.
