The Ueckermuende station was originally the terminus of the line Jatznick - Ueckermuende in the same port city south of the city center. The station building and engine shed, water tower and the railway workers' houses in the street Eggesiner 8 and 10 are under monument protection. The train station at kilometer 162.3 ( the chainage starts in Berlin) was opened on September 15, 1884, together with the total distance. From the station, a connecting line was built in the harbor Ueckermuende. In 1952 worked in the station 's first female head of service of the Deutsche Reichsbahn.
