Uelsby
Uelsby (Danish: Ølsby ) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.
Geography and transport
Uelsby is located about 16 kilometers north of Schleswig, and 25 km south of Flensburg in a rural environment. To the west runs the Federal Highway 7 from Schleswig to Flensburg and south of State Road 201 from Schleswig to Kappeln.
History
The James church was built in the 13th century.
After addition to the historical tradition of spelling Uelsby kept reappearing the spelling Ülsby, the local council has decided the mid-1990s the spelling Uelsby for the community name.
Policy
In the municipal council has the voter community AAU since the municipal election 2013, all nine seats.
