Uffington Castle

Uffington Castle is a hill fort in Oxfordshire. It covers about 3 hectares. The historic entrance is on the east side. Another, later sealed entrance can still be detected on the west side. From the property you can overlook The Ridgeway. About three hundred meters to the northeast is the Uffington White Horse.

The plant will be assigned to the early Iron Age. Finds from excavations suggest an establishment in the period 800-700 BC close.
