The Uganda Mangabe ( Lophocebus ugandae ) is a primate of the family Cercopithecidae ( Cercopithecidae ). The population was summarized long time with the Grauwangenmangabe and elevated to species status in 2007.

Uganda mangabey are slim built primates with long limbs and a long tail. They resemble the Grauwangenmangaben, but are much smaller and have a more delicate skull. Their fur is colored predominantly black brown, the long back hair is as gray to brown in color like the long hair on the shoulders.

Uganda mangabey occur only in Uganda, making them the only endemic primate species in this country. They inhabit mainly the forests on the northern and north-western shore of Lake Victoria, but also live in the western parts of the country such as the Kibale National Park. Habitat of this type forests.

Very little is known about the life of Uganda mangabey. Like all Schwarzmangaben they are likely to be diurnal and arboreal, which rarely come to the ground. Schwarzmangaben generally live in groups of about 15 animals and feed on fruits, nuts and small animals.

Even on the level of risk, little is known. The IUCN lists the species as yet not separated from the Grauwangenmangabe.
