Ugo Frigerio

Ugo Frigerio ( born September 16, 1901 in Milan; † 7 July 1968 Garda ) was an Italian athlete.

Ugo Frigerio 1920 was the first Italian Olympic champion in track - at least for the modern Olympic Games. It is equipped with three Olympic gold medals besides Robert Korzeniowski one of the most successful skiers ever. Between 1920 and 1932 he won three gold and a bronze medal at the Olympic Games. Frigerio decided in 1920 and 1924 its preliminary fights for himself (1928 was not walking on the Olympic program ). Thus, the British Olympic champion from 1932 Tommy Green and the Latvian Olympic silver medalist Jānis Dāliņš are the only skier who Ugo Frigerio could be in the Olympics behind.
