Úhořilka

Úhořilka ( German Preußdorf ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers south of Havlíčkův Brod and belongs to Okres Havlíčkův Brod.

Geography

Úhořilka located in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands in the valley of a small brook. Southwest rises Máselný Kopec ( 624 m) and northwest of the Turkův Kopec ( 598 m).

Neighboring towns are Lipský Dvorek in the north, and Kochánov Okrouhlická in the northeast, Skřivánek in the east, and Studénka Štoky to the southeast, and Bukovec Chyska in the south, U Matéjíčků and Úsobí in the southwest, and Kukačka Chválkov in the west and Dobrohostov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Prussdorf took place in 1454th Since the 17th century the village had also the name of Czech Auhorzilka. Prussdorf was up to the mid-19th century the secular foundation dominion fund Windy Jenikau submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Prußdorf / Ouhořilka formed in 1850 a municipality in the district Deutschbrod. The place belonged to Jihlava linguistic island and was inhabited mostly German. At the end of the 19th century, the name was Preußdorf. The German population was expelled after the Second World War. In 1961, the annexation to Kochánov and together with it in 1976 after Lipa. In 1990, the municipality Úhořilka arose again.
