Ukiernica

Ukiernica ( German Ückerhof ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland.

Geographical location

The village is located in Eastern Pomerania, about 40 km south-east of Szczecin and 15 km east of Pyrzyce ( Pomerania ), about 1 km north of Plon ( Plönesee ).

Through the village the leading province road runs from west to east 122 neighboring towns in the west along the voivodeship Lubiatowo ( Lübtow ), in the north Żalęcino ( Sallentin ), to the east a bit off the voivodeship Moskorzyn ( Muscherin ) and in the southeast Żuków ( Suckow ).

History

The place that probably goes back to a Wendish castrum, was given in 1329 by Duke Otto I of Pomerania to the monastery Kolbatz fief. The village was first isolated from the other possessions of the monastery, until the monastery was able to connect to the rest of monastic property in 1372 through the acquisition of the adjacent Lübtow. Later Ückerhof, as well Lübtow went, lost the monastery Kolbatz again, when and how is not known.

Ückerhof was a knight seat of the noble family of the East, from the 15th century, then a fief of the noble family Schöning in the 14th century. In their Lehnsbrief of 1477 it was listed in the notation Uckerhaue as independent estate. On the map of the Duchy of Pomerania Lubinschen 1618, the place is listed as Ukerhoff. In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemann's detail description of the current state of the Royal Prussian Duchy pros and Pomerania (1784 ) was listed as a knight Ueckerhof seat and Vorwerk among the noble estates of Pyritzschen circle. At that time here were seven households ( " hearths " ), a windmill and an iron fraction. In Heinrich Berghaus ' Land of the Duchy of Pomerania book (1868 ) was Ukerhof listed as a manor among the villages in the knight economic Pomerania. The place at that time numbered 58 people. In 1910, the Gutsbezirk Ückerhof counted 98 inhabitants.
