Ukraine men's national ice hockey team

The Ukrainian national hockey team of men is performed after the World Cup 2012 in the IIHF World Ranking at number 20. The team belongs to the Ukrainian Hockey Association. Coach of the team is Oleksandr Kulikov. The Ukrainian national hockey team was founded following the dissolution of the Soviet Union. In 1993, the team first appeared in in a World Cup and finished at the C- Cup second place behind Latvia. In the coming years, the Ukrainians had likewise newly formed national teams (Slovakia, Belarus, Kazakhstan) to defer, so that only in 1997 promotion to the B-WC. In 1998, the Ukrainian national hockey team went straight on into the A- Cup, in which they held up to 2007, however, because again relegated to Division I. To prepare for the annual World Championships, the national team regularly participates in tournaments in the Euro Ice Hockey Challenge.
