Ulf Björlin

Ulf Björlin ( born May 21, 1933, Stockholm, † 23 October 1993 in Palm Beach, Florida, United States) was a Swedish composer, arranger and conductor.

Björlin studied in Salzburg and Paris. He worked for the Royal Opera in Stockholm. From the year 1962 he composed for the Swedish radio music for films and television productions, including music for the films of Seacrow Island for stories by Astrid Lindgren. In 1977 he moved to the U.S. where he led the Florida Philharmonic and Palm Beach Symphony Orchestra. Björlin composed some 100 works and arranged numerous works for orchestra. He died at the age of 60 from leukemia in West Palm Beach and was on the Norra begravningsplatsen in Solna, Sweden buried. Ulf Björlin was married and has three daughters and three sons.
