Ulf Hoffmann

Ulf Hoffmann ( born September 8, 1961 in Neustrelitz ) is a former German gymnast. His home club was the SC Dynamo Berlin.

He won with the team of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) at the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, a silver medal in the team all-around. For this he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver. At the World Championships in 1985 in Montreal and 1987 in Rotterdam he finished with the East German team in the all around competition in third place. His greatest success in a single discipline was winning the bronze medal in the parallel bars gymnastics at the European Championships in 1985 after his brother, Lutz Hoffmann already had four years earlier also reached at the European Championships on the same device in third.

In GDR championships he won three individual national titles. He won in 1985 in the floor exercises and 1982 points with Frank Bouchard and 1988 points with Holger Behrendt and Andreas Wecker on the high bar.
