Ulisse Munari

Ulisse Munari ( born 1960 ) is an Italian astronomer and asteroid explorer.

He is a professor of astronomy at the University of Padua and works at the Astrophysical Observatory of Asiago (90 kilometers northwest of Padua ), where he discovered more than 50 asteroids in the course of his observations, most of them along with Maura Tombelli. He is a member of the Radial Velocity Experiment Team in Australia. In addition, he is working on the planned GAIA mission.

The asteroid ( 7599 ) Munari, which was discovered on August 3, 1994 by Andrea Boattini and Maura Tombelli, bears his name.
