Ulla Mitzdorf

Ulla Mitzdorf ( born March 5, 1944 in Mittenwald, † July 19, 2013 ) was a German scientist who has contributed to fields as diverse as physics, chemistry, psychology, physiology, medicine and gender research.

Career

Mitzdorf his doctorate in 1974 at the Technical University of Munich in theoretical chemistry and then was a fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry. In 1983 she became a professor in Physiology, 1984 Medical Psychology and Neurobiology at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich.

From 1988 to 2009 she held the Fiebiger Professor ( C3) for Medical Psychology at the University of Munich. At the same time she was 2000-2006 University women's representative and spokesperson for the National Conference of the Women and Equality Officer at Bavarian universities.

Ulla Mitzdorf died on 19 July 2013 following a short illness.
