Ullava

Ullava [ul ɑvɑ ː ] is a former municipality in the Finnish countryside Central Ostrobothnia and now part of the city of Kokkola.

Ullava lies inland 48 kilometers southeast of the core city of Kokkola. In addition to the same Kirchdorf the community Ullava included the villages Alikylä, Haapala, Haapasalo, Hanhisalo, Herlevi, Honkala, Jääskä, Kallinki, Korpi, Länttä, Neverbacka, Norppa, Rahkonen, Seppänkylä, Sikala, Törbacka, Viitasalo, Vähälä. Ullava originally belonged to the parish Kälviä. In 1783 a private house of prayer was in the place established as a separate parish Ullava was in 1904. Beginning of 2009 Ullava was incorporated along with Lohtaja and Kälviä into town Kokkola.
