Ulldecona Dam

The dam Ulldecona ( Valencian Embassament d' Ulldecona or Pantà d' Ulldecona ) is located on the territory of the municipality of La Pobla de Benifassà in the comarca of Baix Maestrat the north of the province of Castellón, the Valencian Community to the east of the Cistercian monastery Benifassà.

It is located eight kilometers northwest of the town of La Senia at the meeting point of three Barranco Gorges, namely the gorges with the name Fou, Teulatí (or La Tenalla ) and Pobla. In spring, summer and autumn, the dam is Ulldecona tourist destination. There are accommodation facilities and restaurants as well as boat and pedal boat rental. From the lake offers views of the surrounding limestone mountains. On the northwest shore lies the abandoned village of Mala Graner.
