Ulric I, Margrave of Carniola

Graf Ulrich I. ( Udalrich I. ) ( † March 6, 1070 ) from the house of Weimar- Orlamünde was Margrave of Carniola ( 1050/58-1070 ), Margrave of Istria ( 1045/60-1070 ) and Count of Weimar ( 1067 -1070 ). Some sources refer to him as " Marquis of ( sub) Carinthia ".

Life and work

Ulrich's father was Poppo I of Weimar, his mother Hadamut of Istria ( † after 1040 ), daughter of the Count of Istria - Friuli Werigand and Willibirg, daughter of Count Ulrich of Ebersberg victory Hardinger († 1029 ).
