Ulrich Adam

Adam Ulrich ( born June 9, 1950 in Teterow ) is a German politician ( CDU). He was from 1990 to 2009 Member of the German Bundestag.

Life and career

After graduation in 1969 from an extended high school (EOS) Adam graduated to 1973 studying mathematics at the University of Rostock and 1978-1980 postgraduate studies as an economist at the Mining Academy in Freiberg. In the context of higher education, he was trained as a reserve officer in the NVA. After the fall of 1990, he was Deputy Managing Director of Greifswald Furniture GmbH.

Ulrich Adam is married and has two children.

Party

Ulrich Adam met in March 1990 in the CDU of the GDR and was from November 2001 to November 2009 Deputy Chairman of the CDU National Association Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. This office was Adam after notification of the CDU state association have been suspended since April 22, 2008.

Member of Parliament

From May to December 1990 was Adam on the citizenship of the city of Greifswald.

From 1990 to 2009 he was a member of the German Bundestag. Here he was from 1993 to 2009 chairman of the regional committee of Mecklenburg -Vorpommern the CDU / CSU parliamentary group and also a member of the Group Executive Board. Adam was always as directly elected representative of the constituency of Greifswald - Demmin - East Pomerania (1990, 1994 and 1998: Greifswald - Wolgast - Demmin ) joined the Bundestag. In the 2005 federal election he reached here 37.2% of the primary vote.

At the general election in September 2009, Adam did not occur again.

With the inaugural session of the 17th German Bundestag on 27 October 2009 he resigned from the Parliament.

Honors

1998 Ulrich Adam was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Donations of Wilhelm Schelsky

On April 19, 2008 Der Spiegel reported that Adam had campaign contributions from Wilhelm Schelsky, the former head of the co-financed by Siemens union AUB received, without officially expel. The donations should have been concealed according to Spiegel and paid without tax receipt. Schelsky have subsequently financed " in substantial cost of the election campaign " of Adam.

" Süddeutsche Zeitung" and "Der Spiegel" figured the amount of donations, the Adam of Schelsky should have received 110,000 euros. The source of the central investigating report of the Nuremberg Soko " Amigo " was mentioned, which was investigating the detained Schelsky.

Adam admitted to have received donations of Schelsky that he had not reported according to the guidelines of the German Bundestag, the President of the German Bundestag.
