Ulrich Daldrup

Ulrich Daldrup ( born September 27, 1947 in Porta Westfalica ) is a scientist, politician ( CDU) and former mayor of the city of Aachen.

Education and work

After the baccalaureate at the European School in Brussels in 1965 Daldrup made ​​a bank clerk with the Banque de Bruxelles -Lambert, and then studied at the RWTH Aachen chemistry. After graduating with a degree in chemistry, he earned his Dr. rer. nat .. Then he was still studying economics.

Ulrich Daldrup was thirty years in international cooperation ( development aid) and humanitarian works. He spent many years of his life in Africa and Asia. On the first stop, he worked as a consultant in Morocco in the years 1972-1974 within the framework of German development aid. From 1975 he was a partner in a consulting firm in Cologne until 1979 he set up his practice with a private consulting firm GFE. About the issue of development aid, he has written numerous books and lectures.

Academic Career

Since 1984 Ulrich Daldrup is Professor of " International Law" and for " Business Administration" at the FH Köln. The FH Aachen gave him in 2004 a lectureship for " International Management ". From 1996 to 1996 he was rector of the University of Bradford / NIMBAS, MBA Campus Aachen under an international MBA degree course. Policy

Ulrich Daldrup occurred in 1992 in Aachen in the CDU one. In September 1993, he was elected as Chairman of the CDU Aachen and 1994 to their top candidates. In the local elections in September 1994 Ulrich Daldrup brought the CDU in Aachen back to power and became next to Astrid Ströbele (SPD) and Margret hardpan ( Alliance 90/The Greens ) under the Mayor Jürgen Linden (SPD ) to one of the three mayors of the city ​​selected. Other offices

In the eighties Ulrich Daldrup was Secretary General of the German - Moroccan society. From 1995 to 2000 he was president of the International Global Panel Conferences and has received as such important heads of state, politicians and entrepreneurs.

Ulrich Daldrup founded in 2004, the Business Club Aachen Maastricht, by the he was able to bring together German and Dutch entrepreneurs.
