Ulrich Kons

Ulrich Kons ( born February 3, 1955 in Greifswald ) is a former rower from the GDR. 1980 Cons Olympic champion in the eighth.

The rowers from ASK forward Rostock won 1972 at the Spartakiade in four with coxswain. In 1973 he was World Junior Champion in double sculls. 1977 Cons became world champion with the GDR eighth at the World Championships in Amsterdam. 1980 at the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 of eight won in the cast Bernd Krauss, Hans -Peter Koppe, Ulrich Kons, Jörg Friedrich, Jens Doberschütz, Ulrich Karnatz, Uwe Dühring and batsman Bernd Hoeing with Klaus -Dieter Ludwig as helmsman with almost three seconds ahead of second-placed British.
