Ulrich Lind

Ulrich Lind (* November 4, 1942 in Heilbronn ) is a former German sport shooter, who competed for the Federal Republic of Germany.

Ulrich Lind of the Heilbronner Archers in 1971 was German champion with the Zimmerstutzen. In qualifying for the 1976 Olympics in Montreal in the prone position with the small-bore rifle Karlheinz Smieszek and Ulrich Lind put the same ring with 2381 rings through in four competitions. In Montreal Smieszek won with 599 rings before Lind with 597 rings.

1977 Lind won at the European Championships in Bucharest in three positions, the team competition was won by Lind along with Smieszek Oswald and Schlipf; in the prone position Lind reached the silver medal and won bronze in the team along with Smieszek and Werner Seibold. In the 1978 World Cup in Seoul Lind finished behind the Americans Lanny Bassham and the British Malcolm Cooper third place in the three positions. In the team competition Lind, Seibold and Smieszek received together with Gottfried Kustermannpark the silver medal. In the prone position fought Kurt Hillenbrand, Lind, Seibold and Smieszek silver. Four years later, Seibold and Lind formed together with Peter Heinz Hubert Bichler and the team silver medal in the prone position was at the World Championships in Caracas. 1982 Lind managed in the prone position, a German record with 600 rings. After an eighth place in the prone position at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, located Lind qualified again for the 1988 Olympics, but this time only reached rank 28
