Ulrich Pfisterer

Ulrich Pfisterer (* November 4, 1951 in Berlin ) is a former German football player and current coach. He is since 2007 national coach of the German national soccer team and Blind Association coach of the futsal team of MTV Stuttgart.

Playing career

The former professional football player was in 1970 with Hertha Zehlendorf 03 German Football A- Youth Champion and stood in 1972 at the advanced array of DFB Olympic team, where he ultimately Uli Hoeness had to let go first. 1976 emigrated Pfisterer because of love to Australia and then played at Juventus Melbourne in the Australian Football League.

Coaching career

In the 1983/84 season was Pfisterer coach at Richmond Alemannia, which played at this time in the Victorian State League in Australia. After 28 years in Australia, where Pfisterer in changing positions as teachers worked in schools for the visually impaired, he moved back to Germany in 2004, where he first worked at the Johann -August- Zeune School for the Blind as a sport and an English teacher. 2005 Pfisterer teacher at the Nikolauspflege in Stuttgart. With the blind football, he came in May 2006 at a workshop in Berlin for the first time in contact. In 2006, he launched a blind football training group at the Nikolauspflege Stuttgart. In spring 2007, Pfisterer founded the blind football team of the MTV Stuttgart and directed the first club match against FC St. Pauli in Liechtenstein. In the same year he was coach of the German national football team dummy, with the at the European Championships in Athens, he finished seventh in 2009 and fifth place in the European Championship in Nantes (France) in 2007. 2009, 2010 and 2011, he was German champion with the MTV Stuttgart. The victories at the many other blind football tournaments ( Nicholas Masters 2009, Light Kick 2010 St. Pauli Indoor Championships in 2008 and 2010, unit 2010 tournament as well as the so-called final for 3 in Dec. 2010) adorn the wall wins. In the spring of 2011, his national team played at the 4th IBSA World Games in Antalya to fifth place after the first time played Stuttgart Open won with his League Club MTV Stuttgart. Since July 2011, Ulrich Pfisterer member of the " Futsal Subcommittee " of the International Blind Sports Federation ( IBSA ).
