Ulrich Surau

Ulrich Surau ( born August 19, 1952 in Emmerich am Rhein ) is a former German football player.

Career

Ulrich Surau joined the 1971/72 season of the juniors of the then third division Alemannia Aachen on the German champions after Borussia Mönchengladbach. In his first season he brought it there as a defender at least 14 campaigns. A year later, now as a regular player, even at 26 an Achilles tendon injury on matchday 32 this season but threw him back a long way, so that he in 1973/74 played a single league game for Borussia Mönchengladbach. During his six years at the Borussia were two German league titles (1975 and 1976 ) to book a DFB Cup victory (1973 ), and a UEFA Cup victory (1975). In the 1976/77 season he played for Rot-Weiss Essen in the Bundesliga and for Bonner SC in the second Bundesliga Nord. Overall, he maintained 69 Bundesliga games in which he scored six goals.
