Ulugh Beigh (crater)

Ulugh Beigh is an impact crater on the northwestern edge of the lunar front side on the western edge of Oceanus Procellarum. The rim is very badly eroded and largely leveled.

The crater was formed in 1961 officially named by the IAU by the Mongol astronomer and mathematician Ulugh Beg.
