Umberto Orsini

Umberto Orsini ( born April 2, 1934 in Novara, Province of Piedmont) is an Italian film and theater actor.

Life

Umberto Orsini studied prior to his career as an actor in Rome, Law, and was in 1957 for the first time on stage. Together with director Giorgio De Lullo and the actor Gianfrancesco Guarnieri, he directed many plays, including Death of a Salesman, or together with the actress Sarah Ferrati the play Who 's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. In addition to his duties as an actor, he took over from 1980 to 1997 as director of the management of the Teatro Eliseo in Rome.

His career as a film actor began in 1957 with the comedy film Marisa la civetta. However, his breakthrough, he scored only 1960 in Federico Fellini's film La Dolce Vita, although he was present only in a small supporting role.
