UIK was successful at the first UEFA Women 's Cup and came to the finals, where they lost to but the first FFC Frankfurt because the team suffered injury problems and Hanna Ljungberg was closed due to two yellow cards in the previous games. However, once again made a double by winning the Swedish Cup. This year, the Finnish internationals Sanna Valkonen and Laura Kalmari were recruited.

2003 started well for the UIK with the victory in the UEFA Cup, where the Danish club Fortuna Hjørring defeated in the final. In autumn, but they lost by a defeat away against Sunnanå SK the final sprint in the league and could not be champion again. The newly formed team Djurgårdens IF / Älvsjö so won the championship. However, the UIK was re- Cup winner. In the fall you could see the Brazilian player Marta recruit.

2004 started well, when they defeated the first FFC Frankfurt and again won the UEFA Cup. Everything seemed to point to a new championship title, but after a form of weakness in the fall of both championship and Cup went to Djurgården / Älvsjö. Against this team you dropped out in the quarter- finals of the UEFA Cup. UIK was very present in the media, and managed to keep Marta as the new star of the team. Laura Kalmari left the club and moved, inter alia, personal reasons to Djurgården / Älvsjö.
