Umeå Södra FF

Umeå Södra FF is a Swedish women's football club from Umeå. The team entered a season in the Damallsvenskan.

History

Umeå Södra FF was founded in 1982 as a merger of the departments of women's football Röbäcks IF and Tegs SK. Over the years, the club played in the second tier up. At the turn of the millennium the team in front Ligabreich Division established first as vice-champion of the Northern season they missed in 2003 behind Själevads IK and AIK in the following year behind the rise in the Damallsvenskan, but had the same time having each distinct residue. After a new vice-championship with nine points behind AIK at the end of the season 2006, the club rose after the following season for the first time in the first division, as Piteå IF was distanced by six points.

The team of Umeå Södra FF get over the premiership season 2008 only two wins this season, so they had to descend into the second division, together with the winless during the season Bälinge IF. As in fifth they missed the direct resurgence.
