UMF Selfoss

UMF Selfoss ( Ungmennafélag Selfoss ) is a sports club in the southern Icelandic town of Selfoss.

In football club alongside the sports of gymnastics, handball, judo, powerlifting, athletics, swimming, Taekwando as well as Motocross operate.

History

The club was founded on 15 December 1955. The football men's team in 2009 rose for the first time in the highest Icelandic league, the Pepsideild on. However, you could not keep the class and got the last one with 17 points again. 2011, the re-emergence into the first division was achieved, but again was the immediate re descent. Venue is the Selfossvöllur.
