Umoe Mandal

Umoe Mandal AS is a shipbuilding company of Ulltveit - Moe Group. The shipyard facilities are located in Mandal, Norway.

The company was founded in 1989 as Kværner Båtservice, later renamed Kværner Mandal, operating since 2000 as Umoe Mandal. The focus of the shipyard is the construction of high-speed marine vehicles, mine countermeasures vessels and speedboats. It is a supplier to the Norwegian Navy, for which she is currently building the missile patrol boats of the Skjold class.

The company enjoys a high reputation in the use of fiber-reinforced plastics ( FRP ) for marine applications. Umoe Mandal designs and develops military and civilian vessels and advanced military components of FRP materials, such as air inlets in stealth technology or centrifugal fans made ​​of carbon fiber-reinforced materials.
