Umrah

The Umra (Arabic عمرة, DMG ʿ umra ), the minor pilgrimage, is an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca.

The Umrah can be performed at any time in the year as opposed to the Hajj. As on the Hajj are the believers in the state of consecration, which is referred to in Arabic as Ihram ( إحرام ). Especially in the month of Ramadan is an increased tendency for Umra recorded. Although rituals and pilgrim destination or are similar or identical, the Umra can not replace the Hajj.
