Umtshezi Local Municipality

Umtshezi (also uMtshezi, Eng. Umtshezi Local Municipality ) is a town in South Africa's District Uthukela in the province of KwaZulu -Natal. The administrative center of the municipality is located in Estcourt. Maliyakhe Shelembe is the mayor. The IFP represents the majority in the City Council.

Geography

Umtshezi located in the western part of the province. In the northwest Umtshezi borders Emnambithi - Ladysmith and Okhahlamba, on the northeast by Indaka and on the east by Msinga. Johannesburg is located 400 kilometers northwest of the community. The N3, which connects the two cities, runs through the western part Umtshezis. Economy
