Un medico in famiglia is an Italian comedy series that aired in the previous eight seasons since 1998. It is one of Italy's most successful series.
Description
Un medico in famiglia tells the story of the Martini family who has to overcome various difficulties in terms of family, friendship and love with typically Italian sense of humor. It 's all about the widowed doctor - father of the family, his father, the five children, the housekeeper, and friends of all ages as well as the employees of the private clinic of Poggio Fiorito.
The series, adapted from the original Spanish Médico de familia TV series is broadcast on Rai 1, the Italian state television on a regular basis in the previous eight seasons since 6 December 1998. The first season ran until 30 May 1999 52 episodes; all other scales consist of 26 episodes. Since 2007, the series was produced anew every two years. All eight seasons consist of 234 episodes, with a length of 50 to 60 minutes. With the beginning of the seventh season Un medico in famiglia is produced in 16:9 widescreen format, from the eighth season in HDTV.
