Unai Etxebarria

Unai Etxebarria Arana ( born November 21, 1972 in Caracas ) is a former Venezuelan cyclist.

Life

Unai Etxebarria began his career in 1996 in the Basque Euskadi cycling team, where he remained until his career end. Normally, the team took only driver from the Basque Country under contract, but since his parents are Basques he still came into the team. He celebrated his first victory at the 1998 Tour of Portugal when he decided two stages for itself.

Then In the 2000 season he won a stage of the Setmana Catalana and the Klasika Primavera. In the summer of 2001, he won a stage of the Dauphiné Libéré and thus came a short time later in the Tour de France squad. He celebrated his biggest success in 2003 when he won a stage of the Vuelta a España. In 2004 he started in the Olympic Games in Athens in the road race and was ranked 31 His last victory came at the Trofeo Calvia 2007.

After the 2007 season Etxebarria ended his career.
