Unbelievable (Sarah Connor album)
Unbelievable ( " Unbelievable " ) is the second studio album from German singer Sarah Connor. It was released on September 30, 2002 by X-Cell and Epic Records. The record reached number 10 in the German Media Control album charts and achieved gold status within 48 hours.
Background
For the work on the second album, Connor did again with producers Rob Tyger and Kay Denar, to produce with them most of the album. Furthermore, acted as producer, among other Wyclef Jean, Jerry Duplessis, Bülent Aris, Sugar P and triage.
The album could indeed charted at number 10 in the German album charts, but unable to build on the great success of Connors debut album Green Eyed Soul. On the album, with the one wanted Connor international marketing, to up-tempo numbers and ballads alternate, which are attributable to the genres Pop, R & B and soul. Four songs were released as singles.
On 2 September 2002 appeared as a pre-release single One Nite Stand (Of Wolves and Sheep), a produced by Wyclef Jean song on which he worked as a guest musician. It was charted at number 5 in the German single charts.
The second single Skin on Skin, which also took place five of the German singles chart, was released on 4 November 2002. Followed in 2003 by the Single He's Unbelievable, which relies on a sample of 2Pacs California Love.
The title Bounce, which published Connor as debut single in North America, was written by Bülent Aris, Toni Cottura and Anthony Freeman and produced by Aris. Bounce reached number 12 in the German single charts, number 20 in Austria and number 14 in Switzerland.
Thematically the songs act mainly of love and partnership. Wait Till You Hear from Me is about drug abuse and Put Your Eyez on Me by Connor's rise in the music industry. The song I Wanna Touch U There was written by Diane Warren, who worked previously held with Toni Braxton and Celine Dion.
Review
Joachim Gauger of Laut.de awards three stars out of five, praising the cooperation with the " crème de la crème of the music business ." This is a varied album emerged, " what concerns the quality of production especially among German artists of his unequaled opportunities ". Compared to the debut album unblievable R'n'B -dominant is and soulful. It outweigh the up-tempo numbers that occasionally recall R. Kelly. Gauger criticized, however, that Connor had developed on this album has no independent style.

The album is available in different editions, which differ in their playlists. On 2 October 2002, a special Spanish edition, which includes 18 songs appeared. There the track list have been added four bonus songs. In addition to the song From Sarah with Love from the previous album Spanish versions of the songs Skin on Skin, I Wanna Touch U There and From Sarah with Love are available. Omitted was the song Make My Day.
The Russian version consists of 19 songs and was added to the songs From Sarah with Love, French Kissing and Imagining from the previous album. Published in the United Kingdom version was to the song Let's Get Back to Bed - Boy! completed and published in the Asia version includes From Sarah with Love.
Exclusive to the website amazon.de a bonus track version was released, the bonus remixes One Nite Stand (Of Wolves and Sheep ) ( Club Version w / Shea 's Club Keys) and Make My Day (Wicked Kid Remix Urb'n ) includes. Furthermore, two limited editions were published in Germany, as the 17th track had a different bonus song each. The version one has the song Better Half and version two the bonus song 20,000 Feet.
