Under Defeat

Under Defeat is a shoot'em up video game for Sega Dreamcast and NAOMI, which was developed by the Japanese company G.rev. It is one of the last official Dreamcast games and was even marketed by the manufacturer as "the final Dreamcast game". However, in the spring of 2007 appeared three new Dreamcast games, including the load developed in Germany Hope, Trigger Heart Exelica of Warashi and Karous Milestone. The last two were even published with official SEGA license.

The plot of Under Defeat is set in an alternate world and plays at the time of the Second World War on. The player assumes the control of a fighter pilot of the " empire ," a German -speaking group, whose appearance resembles that of soldiers of the Wehrmacht and Waffen -SS. Pilots of the enemy faction, the "Union", however, speak English and whose troops are similar to those of the Allies.

Although Under Defeat was released very late, five years after the end of the Dreamcast production, the Dreamcast version sold very well and even surpassed the sales figures of some at the same time published PSP games. Despite this success, Under Defeat is so far the last Dreamcast game of G.rev.

The gameplay is similar to the traditional games of the genre and is strongly reminiscent of some games of Toaplan, especially Twin Cobra. Under Defeat uses 3D graphics and has a slightly angled view to give the player the gameplay more intense.
