Underarm liners
Underarm Sweat Pads (also armpit pads, welding sheets) are laundering protective inserts for the outerwear that absorb the underarm sweat freshly formed and do not leave it to the clothes.
History
The idea of protecting their own clothing from sweat stains, was built in the 19th century. The societal demands on the appearance of every human being have become more stringent in that time. The first utility model registrations for welding sheet ( according to Duden: against underarm sweating protective insert), there were already at the end of the 19th century. There were textile plies that had to be sewn into the outerwear. Early to mid- 20th century, this welding sheets were very popular in Germany, since most people in the difficult times of financial crisis and the war could not afford much clothing. With the help of welding sheets could wear the clothes a little longer without washing them ( you then simply weld sheets changed ), so you could extend in this way the life of the outerwear. By the time this method to protect themselves against sweat stains and odor, rather perceived as annoying and time consuming. Construction
The welding sheet consists of several sewn textile layers to absorb the underarm sweat. The modern underarm pads can be divided into three groups:
- To the skin adhesive pads (patches )
- On the clothes to be bonded pads

Application
