Underwurlde

Underwurlde is a 1984 published under the Firebird label software 2D jump 'n run computer game released for the Commodore 64 and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Underwurlde was the official successor of the game Sabre Wulf, a successor appeared in the same year under the title of Knight Lore.

Description

It is a umschaltendes between the rooms jump 'n ' run, in which the player with yet -to-find weapons must eliminate three guards to escape with the protagonist Sabre -Man from a dark castle and the caves underneath. An interesting difference from other similar games was that the collision with the opponents, who described the instructions as harpies and gargoyles, was not fatal, but only that caused the hero sprite was whirled through the air. However, this could quickly lead to an uncontrolled fall in one of the many chasms, which was the only way in the game perish.

The graph was characterized, as in many of the games that were released at that time for both C64 and Spectrum (eg Jet - Set Willy or Sabre Wulf ), by an interesting minimalist surreal style.
